Things You'll Need:
- Used plastic bags
-
Step 1
Use your old grocery bags as trash can liners in bathrooms, to collect trash while cleaning your house or car, to clean litter boxes, and such.
-
Step 2
Find used grocery bags of yours that are still well intact, without any large holes or the like, and bring them back with you to the store to use again. You should let the cashier know before he/she starts to ring you up, or else they'll start to put your groceries in unnecessary new bags.
-
Step 3
For storing things, mailing fragile objects, or moving, you can use all your old plastic bags as packing material. This is where you can use all of the plastic bags that are torn. You can also use produce bags, old bread bags, and the like. Stuff bags into hollow breakables, like glasses, for extra protection.

Step 4
Many places now have plastic bag recycling available. Call various grocery stores to find the one nearest you. Bring plastic grocery bags that you are not goiong to reuse to a place to recycle them.
