Make a Ghost Walking Video

There are two things that kids really love: ghosts and reverse videos! Well, there is a project that combines both of these things in a really fun way! Playing with the reverse mode in any video program is always a hoot. Just about anything in reverse will make kids laugh--but you can really blow their minds with a video that is filmed in reverse--and then appears to be in regular motion! Here is how to do it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Tie a pair of shoes to an invisible fishing line and tie the backs of them to the front of your star’s shoes.

  2. Step 2

Set up the camera so that you can see the star from head to toe when he or she enters the picture walking from right to left on the screen.

  3. Step 3

Have the star walk into the frame backwards pulling the shoes as he takes each step. The star should be looking down at the shoes while walking.

  4. Step 4

Have him walk all the way through the frame.

  5. Step 5

Get a close up of the star’s shoes and the empty shoes while they are walking to cut in later.
