If you are looking for a spooky Halloween treat for a Halloween party, this graveyard cake is a great idea and is easy enough for anyone to do.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Chocolate Cake
  • Milano Cookies
  • Black Candy Color
  • Toothpick
  1. Step 1

Make your favorite chocolate cake with chocolate frosting or buy a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. The cake should be large enough for your party.

  2. Step 2

Cut all of your Milano cookies in half with a knife. These cookie halves will be your tombstones for your spooky graveyard cake.

  3. Step 3

Carve out R.I.P in cookie halves using a tooth pick.

  4. Step 4

Dip your toothpick into your black candy color and fill in the R.I.P. carefully with the candy color. Candy color will bleed into the cookie if there is too much color on the tooth pick.

  5. Step 5

Stick the cookies into the cake and be sure to strategically place them on top of the cake with the curve side up as shown in picture.

  6. Step 6

Be sure to pair your chocolate cake with festive red wines as shown in my picture.

For children, I recommend serving the cake with cranberry juice mixed with grape juice. They can pretend they are drinking blood!

Tips & Warnings
  • Candy color can be usually found where you buy chocolate molds and melting chocolate.
