With old man Winter bearing down on us quickly, it's time to find solace in plants indoors. Whether it is in our homes or offices, it's great to have a plant. Especially if they are low maintenance. Here are a few.

    The first thing you need to decide is where you are going to put your plant. If it is in your home, you have many places that you can put them. Near a window with lots of sun, or in your office on your desk.
    One great type of plant that is very low maintenance is an air plant. These small, yet beautiful plants feed on nutrients from the air. You can place these plants in any kind of ceramic bowl, and only need a little soaking in about every two weeks.

    The next type of low maintenance plant is a philodendron. These plants grow wonderfully inside the home. A great place to put these are in baskets, or you can place them in plant holders that are on stands. You can place them in front of a kitchen window and they will last a very long time while adding beauty to the room.

    Another type of low maintenance plant is the succulent. They are very fleshy looking, yet beautiful and collect water from the air. They come in a variety of shapes and colors. You can buy these almost anywhere, including the walmart indoor garden section. When you see them, you will know it is a succulent by how thick the leaves are.
