Step 1
First, purchase the memory from any kind of computer hardware supplier. It is recommended that you consult the owner's manual for specs relating to purchasing memory.

Next, completely turn off your MacBook Pro.
This includes removing any extra cables or USB connections that are attached to the computer. -
Step 3
After that, flip your MacBook over and remove the screws that are holding in the bottom case.
There should be about 10 screws that you can easily remove. It is important not to touch any other components other than the memory slots once you remove the bottom case. Also, beware of static electricity once you expose the bottom case. -
Step 4
Now, release the module from the memory card slot by pushing down on the sides of the memory card module.
This sounds a lot harder than it is, the card will pop right out if you properly press down on the sides. -
Step 5
After that, remove the memory module from the location

Next, insert the new memory module in the slot that you just removed memory from.
It is important to insert the card on the same angle that you took the other one out it. -
Step 7
Finally, repeat the previous step to install any additional memory modules.
