Instructions
  1. Step 1

WHAT IS CLERGY APPRECIATION MONTH: Clergy appreciation month is during the month of October every year and it is a time to celebrate your pastor or clergymen of your church. Clergy Appreciation Month is a special time that churches set aside each year to honor their pastors and pastoral families for the dedication and multiple blessings provided by these special people.

  2. Step 2

WHY TO SHOW APPRECIATION: Pastors and clergy give and give and give all year long to their church families and congregations. Once in a while it is nice to receive, and pastors need that dearly, just like anyone else does. They need to feel appreciated and be shown that they are appreciated.

  3. Step 3

HOW TO SHOW APPRECIATION: To show appreciation to your pastor or clergy and his family do something nice for them. Get together with other people in your congregation and ask for some help in throwing a small party or taking the pastor or clergy and his family out to lunch. Take them bowling, golfing, or skating. You could even take them out for a fun day at an orchard, since October is the perfect season for that. Hold a weiner roast at one of the congregation members homes, simply show your pastor a good time and he/she will know that they are appreciated. You could even do a little some every week during the month of October, like sending the pastors wife flowers or sending the kids something special. Make it fun and make them feel special and needed.
