An origami car is a creative craft that children will love. Origami is an art that transforms a flat piece of paper into a different shape. Origami improves a child's learning skills and gives him a sense of accomplishment as he creates something new. Many children are able to follow origami instructions as long as there is an adult who can coach him through the steps.

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper
  • Markers, crayons or colored pencils
  1. Step 1

Start with a square piece of paper that is at least 6 inches by 6 inches or larger. Any type of paper will work for this project, including computer paper, magazine pages or notebook paper.

  4. Step 4

Fold the bottom of the paper up until you reach the middle line.

  5. Step 5

Fold the ends of the bottom flap of paper down so they are facing you. You should have two triangles pointed toward you.

  6. Step 6

Fold the right side top corner until it slightly overlaps the bottom right corner.

  7. Step 7

Flip the paper over and draw in a door, door handle and windows.
