Instructions

    • 1

Go to DVD Flick's website---a link is in the Resources section of this article---and click on "Download" at the top page.

    • 2

Double-click on the downloaded file to install DVD Flick. Unless your computer requires you to do otherwise, leave all options as the default.

    • 3

Run DVD Flick on your computer by clicking on "Start," then "Programs" and then "DVD Flick."

    • 4

When it opens, click on "Add Title." Browse to the file where your video is and double-click the file. Repeat this step for each video you want to add.

    • 5

Click on a title and then click on "Edit Title." Alternatively, you may double-click on the title.

    • 6

Choose how you want to set up chapters. You may choose to create chapters every few minutes, create a set amount of chapters and let DVD Flick decide where to put them or create chapters with every new video source. If you do not want to add any chapters, make sure "Do Not Create Any Chapters" is highlighted. Click "Accept" when you have made your choice.

    • 7

Click the "Project Settings" tab, then the "Video" tab. Make sure that the DVD format selected is the one your DVD player supports. If you're in the United States, make sure the format is NTSC. For Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceanic countries, you should go with PAL.

    • 8

Click on "Save Project" to save your DVD project.

    • 9

Click on "Create DVD." DVD Flick will create your DVD.

    • 10

Remove the new DVD from the drive and place it into a DVD player to make sure that it works.

Tips & Warnings

  • DVD Flick also allows you to create menus similar to the ones you see in commercial DVDs. You may access them by clicking on the "Menu Settings" on the main window.

  • It can also be used to add subtitles and additional audio commentaries.

  • If you plan on making multiple copies of the DVD, all you'll need to do next time is click "Open Project" and double-click on the DVD Project.

  • Make sure you're OK with the DVD because once it's burned, you can't unburn it unless you have a DVD-RW disc.
