eBay is an online shopping store that allows people to search and purchase new and used items of various categories. By using eBay, users can also sell items to other members on eBay. eBay also allows its members to create their own store. Below are steps to sell your items on eBay.

  1. Step 1

    Login into your eBay.

  2. Step 2

    Select the "Sell" tab and then click on "Sell an Item."

  3. Step 3

    Click on "Start Selling." Type in three words that describes the item that you are selling in the "Find a Matching Category," then click "Search."

  4. Step 4

    Select the category that best describes your item, and then click "Continue."

  5. Step 5

    Add the name, description, picture and price of your item, and then click "Save and Preview." Preview the item for mistakes, and then click "List Item."

Tips & Warnings
  • To obtain an eBay account, visit their website at eBay.com and click the "Register." Provide your personal information, choose a user ID and password, and click "Continue." After you have completed the free registration, you will be able to sell on eBay. Potential buyers will see the items you are selling on the eBay search list and they will be able to contact you. You do not contact them pertaining purchasing your item unless they contact you to purchase your item. Your buyers receive their item by you mailing it to them through USPS, UPS or other postal services, and you are paid through your Paypal account. Make sure to browse similar items on eBay to see how much other people are selling their items for.
