Undereye bags are areas of puffy skin or dark circles that occur just below the eyes. Lack of sleep, poor diet or genetics can all contribute to the development of undereye bags. Having undereye bags makes you look constantly tired, but you can get rid of them easily at home without relying on expensive products. So next time you slip up and don't get to bed on time, you don't have to deal with the physical repercussions all day long.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 metal spoons
  • Coffee mug
  • 2 black tea bags
  • Hemorrhoid cream
  1. Step 1

Place two metal spoons into your freezer. Let them chill for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.

  2. Step 2

Fill a coffee mug with tepid water while you are waiting for the spoons to chill. Dip two black tea bags into the water so they just become moistened; then lay them over your closed eyelids for about 5 minutes. The caffeine can temporarily firm the loosened skin under your eyes.

  3. Step 3

Remove the metal spoons from the freezer; then place one over each closed eyelid. Leave them on your eyes for at least 5 minutes to help reduce your undereye swelling, which will make it easier to apply eye makeup.

  4. Step 4

Squeeze a small dab of hemorrhoid cream onto the bottom of your index finger. Dot the cream gently onto your undereye bags to help temporarily narrow the area's blood vessels and reduce the puffiness.

  5. Step 5

Place your ring finger onto the area near your inner eye, and lightly push down. Work your way from the inner to the outer area of your undereye bag, lightly pushing down the entire time to distribute and break down the fluid collected in your undereye bags.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid salty or processed foods because sodium can contribute to undereye bags. Limit your eye makeup to light colored eyeshadow and curling mascara to make your eyes appear wider, which will distract from any undereye bags; dark eyeliner under your eyes will just draw attention to the bags and make your eyes look smaller.
  • Do not get the hemorrhoid cream into your eyes, or it could cause irritation. Do not drink more than one alcoholic drink a day because consuming alcohol will make you more likely to hold in fluid and appear puffy.
