1
Place the laces through the eyelets on the bottom of the shoes so they face the inside of the shoes. Pull on each lace until both are the same length.
-
2
Grab one of the laces, cross it over the shoe and move it up two eyelets. For example, grab the right lace, skip two eyelets and place the lace through the eyelet. Repeat this on the other side and pull the laces through the eyelets.

3
Run the lace from the right side directly up to the next eyelet. Stay on the same side and do not move back over. Pull the laces through this eyelet.
-
4
Move the lace down to the eyelet directly above the first one. Basically you're creating a lattice pattern where you're moving up and down repeatedly.
-
5
Pull the lace through the left side directly up to the next eyelet and then back down to the bottom, as in Steps 3 and 4.
-
6
Move the lace up to the eyelet directly on top of this one and pull it straight. Return to the other side and run the lace through the eyelet above this one.
-
7
Move the lace from the right side up to the last eyelet on the left side and run it through. Repeat this step on the left side of the DC shoe.

Tips & Warnings
Try using a larger style of laces if you really want the lattice style to look good. Smaller laces look fine, but wider laces really make the look pop. Don't get frustrated if the lattice style doesn't suit you. DC shoes work in a number of different ways and you can always lace the shoes the way you would any other running shoes. Do the left side of the shoes first and then the right side if you think it's too complicated. Just weave the laces on the right side through the other laces while you're doing it.
This way of lacing DC shoes shouldn't be used if you're constantly adjusting the length and size of your shoes since it makes that harder to do.
