Ease Nausea During Pregnancy
Ease Nausea During Pregnancy

Pregnancy can be a very happy and exciting time in a woman's life. However, it's not all smiles. Many women will experience nausea during their pregnancy. Use these tips to help ease your nausea so you can spend your time enjoying your pregnancy instead of in the bathroom.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stay away from strange smells/foods. Most of the time, it is the smell of a food that gets a woman feeling nauseous. It's helpful to ask your spouse to do most of the cooking since handling raw meats will most likely get you sick. It also helps to eat bland foods when you're feeling nauseous.

  2. Step 2

Make sure your prenatal vitamins contain 50mg of the vitamin B6. Research has shown that B6 helps with nausea caused by a pregnancy. If you need a little extra help for nausea, buy some Preggie Pops. Preggie Pops are lollipops for women dealing with morning sickness.

  3. Step 3

Eat more ginger. Make yourself some ginger tea or eat ginger snaps when you're feeling nauseous. Ginger candies can also help if you have a sweet tooth.

  4. Step 4

When you eat, try to not get too full. Eat lots of small meals throughout the day instead of three big meals a day.

  5. Step 5

Get up slowly in the morning. If possible, try to eat a some crackers or a light snack as soon as you get up.

  6. Step 6

Stay hydrated. Drink lots of water throughout the day but make sure you are sipping steadily all day instead of drinking a big amount all at once. Ginger ale can also help ease your stomach.
