Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Diary
  • Reality Checks
  • Will power
  1. Step 1

Now for an individual to have a higher chance of becoming lucid in a dream that individual must show certain aspects of dream recall. Remembering dreams can help to facilitate the chances of becoming lucid in a dream. Start by trying to remember your dreams or better yet by keeping a dream journal.

  2. Step 2

There are actually several strategies to make yourself lucid in a dream. Lucid dreaming is just being aware that you are in a dream state. The first way is to periodically throughout the day give yourself a little reality check. This can come in several forms, such as looking digital clocks twice to see if they are logical, counting fingers or just asking yourself 'Am I Dreaming'. When things become illogical or strange then chances are you are dreaming.

  3. Step 3

Lets face it some things might not ever come true. Winning a million dollars, hanging out with celebrities or such can all cause an individual to ask if they are dreaming. If you find yourself in a fantastical situation that defies explanation assume you are dreaming.

  4. Step 4

One can also induce lucid dreaming by waking up in the middle of ones sleep cycle then trying to go back to sleep. All the time the individual is trying to influence the dream world that he/she will create, this allows for a more chance for a lucid dream. This can also work by imagining a dream before you go to sleep and when it happens you know it is a dream.

  5. Step 5

Another useful technique is to draw on your hand something that you will recognize when you are awake. Then look at this periodically through out the day (such as in the reality check method). When it is no longer there you are dreaming.
