The word for "Christmas" in Spanish is more closely related to the word "nativity" in English. Simply put, the word is "Navidad". As you can see, it is a direct translation of the word "nativity".

You've probably heard that Jose Feliciano song, "Feliz Navidad". So you should already know the word for Christmas! Just remember that "feliz" means "happy" and "navidad" means "Christmas".

The "v" in "Navidad" can be pronounced almost like a "b" sound, and the last "d" is said softly.
