Skiing and snowboarding have become extremely popular these days. One essential piece of ski equipment is the goggles. Ski goggles prevent; snow from getting in your eyes, the wind from drying out your eyes and the sun from damaging your eyes. The only catch is they work well when they are clean. Some goggles tend to fog up with a sudden change in air pressure such as when you are going down the mountain. Here you will learn some ways to prevent the fogging.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ski Goggles
  • Shaving Cream
  • Potato (knife to cut)
  1. Step 1

Before you head out to the slopes grab a potato. Take the raw potato and cut a slice off. Rub the slice of potato on the inside of the goggles. Make sure to get everywhere for the best results.

  2. Step 2

Shaving cream also works. Spray a small amount of shaving cream onto your hand and wipe it on to the inside of the goggles. Rub it in good and wipe away any excess cream. Your goggles will be mist free the entire day.

  3. Step 3

For a quick de-fogging when you are on the mountain try this. Take off your goggle and spit into the inside of the lens. Wipe the spit around with your hand to insure you get the saliva on the whole lens. This should prevent fogging for the rest of the day.
