Step 1
Visit http://www.google.com/local. First do a search to see if your business or website is already displayed there. If it is not, then continue to follow the steps below.

Return to the Google Local website (http://www.google.com/local). Click on the text link that says, “Put your business on Google Maps”.

Click on the text link that says, “Sign Up Now”. Fill out the Google Form completely. If you work from home, do not put your full address. Instead, choose your major area. You don’t want to take a chance at having people stopping by your house… Once you fill out the form, click on “I accept, Create My Account”.

Step 4
Google will ask you to verify your business by sms verification or by telephone verification. Choose the verification method that best suits you.

Step 5
Wait a few weeks and go back to http://www.google.com/local. Do a search for your business. You will see that Google has listed your business. When people do a search for a business in your category, your business and contact information will be listed.
