How to Put Homemade Videos Into iPod
An iPod is an MP3-playing device made by Apple. They are available in various styles and sizes, and with the exception of the iPod Shuffle, they all play digital videos (2006 models and beyond). Most iPod models have illuminated screens for watching videos that are uploaded onto the device. To put your own homemade videos onto your iPod, the process requires you to follow a few steps, but it is moderately easy.

1
Plug the smaller end of the USB cable into the computer. Plug the wider end of the cable into the iPod. Your computer will recognize the iPod, and iTunes will open up autmatically. In the left-hand column of iTunes (just below "DEVICES"), there is an iPod icon.
-
2
Look in the top left-hand column and find "LIBRARY." Directly below "LIBRARY," click on "Movies." You will now see your video media on the main screen of iTunes. If you do not have any video media yet but you want to put them onto your iPod, upload your video files to iTunes now (you cannot put a video file directly onto an iPod, it must be in iTunes first).

3
Click on a title and drag it to the iPod icon in the left-hand column. The video automatically copies onto the iPod. (The process will take at least a few seconds, depending on the video's size).

When you're finished uploading videos, unplug your iPod and click the "Eject'" icon to the right of the iPod icon in iTunes. After a few seconds, your iPod can safely be removed from the USB port of the computer. Remove the USB cords from your computer and iPod, and you can now watch your updated video library on the mobile device.

Tips & Warnings
As you upload movies, it also charges the iPod's internal battery. Leave it plugged in for an extra 20 minutes to obtain a full charge. Videos take up a lot more space on an iPod than music. One half hour of video will fill more than 300 megabytes. If you want to upload a lot of videos, make sure you will have plenty of available storage space.
When plugging the USB cord into the iPod, make sure that the small, gray rectangle is facing upwards. Putting the cord in upside down could damage the USB cord or iPod, and recharging the iPod could become impossible.
