The iPod Touch doesn't only let you bring your favorite music, videos and photos with you, but also gives you Internet connection through its built-in Wi-Fi so you can check e-mail and weather, and download applications, music and videos from the Apple Store in the palm of your hand. The iPod Touch enables you to connect to the Internet from any place there is a Wi-Fi hot spot---including your home, work, shopping centers and hotels.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Ask if and in what areas your motel has Wi-Fi access to at the front desk. Some lodging establishments have access in every room, while others offer it in only common areas. The clerk will also give you a password if the motel requires one. Many lodging websites and websites like Wi-Fi Free Spot can tell you which motels and hotels have Wi-Fi access.

  2. Step 2

Select "Settings" on the main page of your iPod Touch.

  3. Step 3

Select "Wi-Fi" from the menu and then "Turn on Wi-Fi."

  4. Step 4

Go back to your settings menu and again click on "Wi-Fi."

  5. Step 5

Wait for you iPod Touch to detect any wireless Internet signals that you are in range of, then sign into the network.

  6. Step 6

Enter the password if your motel requires one to connect to its network, and click "Join." If your lodging doesn't require a password, your iPod Touch automatically connects to the network.
