How to Wax a Black Car
To properly maintain your vehicle's paint, you have to wash and wax it regularly. For most cars, this isn't a big deal. But if the car is painted black, the job is often more difficult. Scratches show up easier, swirl marks are common and it's difficult to make the car look good. Don't fret. It is indeed possible to get a great shine out of that black paint job.
Things You'll Need

1
Wash your vehicle using car soap. Dry it thoroughly using the shammy. Work your way from the top down, making sure the dirt is rinsed off as you go so you don't cause more scratches.
-
2
Move the vehicle to a shaded area so the paint doesn't get too hot. Hot paint causes the wax to dry up too quickly and causes problems.

3
Apply the Swirl Remover to the foam applicator pad. Start with one area and work the Swirl Remover around in circles. Do one panel at a time so that you can let the product properly set up.
-
4
Wipe off the dried Swirl Remover using the microfiber towel once the panel is complete, starting at where you started to apply the previous product. Work in a circular motion, and flip the towel frequently. This step is good for not only removing swirls, but to polish the paint and get it in excellent shape.

5
Apply the yellow wax to the foam applicator pad and apply in a circular motion the same way you did with the swirl remover. Work one panel at a time so that the product can dry before you move on to the next.
-
6
Wipe off the dried swirl remover using the microfiber towel once the panel is complete, starting at where you started to apply the previous product. Work in a circular motion, and flip the towel frequently. The wax is now applied to the panel. Continue along the car until the entire vehicle is complete.
