How to Make Apple Pie Dip

This is a great dip to make for parties, and rather than being savory and heavy, this one is sweet and light, which will surprise your guests. It is also very simple to make, and will take only 20 minutes of cooking time. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Spoon
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Vegetable peeler
  • Oven
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • 9-inch pie plate
  • 1 bar cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 large apple
  • 1/4 cup cheddar cheese
  • Box of crackers or bag of tortilla chips

  1. Hot Apple Pie Dip

      Preheat your oven to 350 F. As your oven heats, pull foil off cream cheese and throw into bowl. Place cream cheese in microwave for 30 seconds to soften. If not soft, place cream cheese in an additional 30 seconds. Pour cinnamon and brown sugar over cream cheese, and mix well with a spoon.

      Scoop cream cheese mixture out of bowl and into the bottom of your pie plate. Make sure you cover the entire bottom of your plate. Set aside.

      Peel apple then cut in half. Once cut in half, you can remove the core by scooping it out with a spoon, make sure you get all the seeds. Then cut each half into quarters so you are left with eight pieces. Cut all pieces of apple into small pieces.

      Cover cream cheese mixture with apples. Then cover apples with cheddar cheese. Place in oven and bake for 20 minutes. Take out and allow to cool for five minutes before serving.

      Serve with crackers or tortilla chips.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can always add more apple if you feel you don't have enough. Reheat in microwave or back in the oven for five minutes if it gets cold.
