1
Consider your jewelry's overall theme (western, modern, vintage). Shop for fabric that will compliment your jewelry's style. Take a few pieces of jewelry with you to the fabric store.
-
2
Hold your jewelry up to the fabric and see how the colors play off of each other. Take your fabric to the cutting desk. Think about the table (or tables) you will be covering with your tablecloth. Always get more than you need, just in case.

Lay your fabric out flat. Cut your fabric to the desired shape. Cut a circle for a small round table. Use the formula below to calculate the measurements for a circle table cloth. Measure four equal sides for a square table cloth, but be sure to leave enough for the overhang. Leave the fabric as it is and do not cut it at all if you are unsure of your table size. Roll up the extra fabric until it touches the floor, then smooth it out to make it fit.

4
Secure the edges of your fabric by painting on a small line of clear fingernail polish. Let it dry before returning to your project. Choose whether to use the fabric glue or needle and thread to create a hem. Do about a 1/2-inch hem. Put the show side of the fabric down so the raw side is facing up. Measure a 1/2 inch in on your fabric and mark it every couple of feet along the edges until you are back where you started.

5
Put the glue on the outside edges of your fabric. Fold the fabric down where you marked it. Press it into place and smooth out any lumps or wrinkles. Use needle and thread in place of the glue if you prefer.

Tips & Warnings
You can add a table runner, a doily or maybe a small fabric square on top of your table cloth to separate your jewelry into categories, like earrings, bracelets, rings or necklaces.
Do not use too much glue on your fabric, especially if you are using silks.
