How to Reset an Aiwa TV

If you have picture or audio problems in your Aiwa TV that you don't know how to resolve, consider resetting your television to its default factory settings. If you still have trouble, it could be the result of static buildup in your television. Static electricity can build up in your Aiwa TV, causing problems like frozen channels, loss of picture or off coloring. This happens naturally over the lifespan of your television, but it's easy for you to fix by resetting your television power.

Reset to Factory Settings

1. Press "Menu" on your remote to access the "Main Menu."

2. Choose "TV Menu," then press "Enter."

3. Click on "Reset to Standard," then press "Enter."

4. Select "OK" to proceed with the reset.

Reset Television Power

1. Press the "Power" button on the display console of your Aiwa TV or on your Aiwa remote control. Hold it down for 10 seconds, or until you hear the television shut down.

2. Wait five seconds. Turn the TV on to see if the problem is fixed.

3. Unplug your television from the wall outlet or from your surge protector if you still have problems. Wait five minutes.

4. Plug your Aiwa television back into the outlet and see if that fixed the problem.
