How to Use Valerian to Get Off of Paxil

Paxil is an antidepressant used by a large percentage of the population worldwide. Primarily used for the treatment of depression, premenstrual dysphoria and traumatic stress, Paxil can lead to grievous side effects such as nausea, tremors, seizures and even coma.       Soak the valerian extract in water for a day. Always prepare the tea in by soaking the valerian root in cold water to prevent the loss of any essential oils during its preparation.

      Boil a cup of water and mix it with the water from the valerian. Soak with the the hot water for approximately 5 minutes. Add honey to taste.

      Drink a cup of valerian tea daily until any Paxil side effects begin to subside. Continue the use of valerian tea as an antidepressant going forward.

  • Valerian root extracts primarily treat of insomnia, multiple sclerosis, epileptic fits, shingles, muscle cramp and fatigue, rheumatic pain, migraines, cardiac problems and hypertension.

  • Pregnant women should not use valerian root extracts. And remember that exposure to Valerian in high doses could lead to addiction, so use the root responsibly.
