If you are looking to become famous, what better way than to become a reality tv star, right? Reality tv shows such as The Real World, American Idol, and The Apprentice have made regular old Americans into some of the most famous people in the United States and abroad. Well, for their fifteen minutes anyway. Here are some tips to nailing your audition for the next big reality show.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get a personality. Becoming a reality tv star is as simple as that. Casting directors are looking for one thing and one thing only: ratings. Going from an average joe or plain jane to America's next reality sweetheart is as simple as that. Be yourself, but maybe dramatize a little....

  2. Step 2

Go over the top. As we mentioned before, you're wanting to get noticed, right? Sometimes the only way to get a one in a million shot is to do something extraordinary. If you can do a crazy stunt or walk on your hands for a mile, do it. Just remember, you want to blow their socks off.

  3. Step 3

Get a stereotype. Reality tv shows are usually all similar in one way: they use stereotypes to hype up the drama. Be it the bad boy or girl, the good southern kid, the racist, the homosexual, whatever it may be. Reality tv is good at one thing and one thing only..entertainment. To be entertaining there has to be a story line and something for the viewers to remember. The racist and the African American fighting? Sometimes this is ratings gold for shows like The Real World.

  4. Step 4

Shoot for the stars. Ham it all up no matter what. What's the worst they can tell you, that you didn't get the part? Neither did thousands of others. But with a little determination and some careful planning on your part, you could be the next big tv star. We'll all be looking for you!
