Things You'll Need:
- 4 Large Eggs
- 2 Tbsp Milk
- 3 Tbsp Cheddar Cheese
- 1 Apple
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper to Taste
-
Step 1
Gather together your ingredients. This will save you time later.
-
Step 2
Chop a medium-sized apple. You can either core it first or simply cut around the core as I did. The apple I used for this dish is a honey crisp apple, but any sweet or tangy variety will do.
-
Step 3
In a non-stick frying pan, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Heat to medium-low heat. Add the chopped apples and cook until they are soft (about 5 minutes). Take off the heat and set aside the cooked apples. You can place them on a dish or in a bowl.
-
Step 4
Grate about 3 tablespoons of cheddar cheese.
-
Step 5
Beat the eggs.
-
Step 6
Add 2 tablespoons of milk and salt and pepper to taste. Mix some more.
-
Step 7
In the non-stick frying pan, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Heat to medium heat. Move the pan around so the oil coats its sides. Add the egg mixture. Cook for about a half a minute and then with a non-stick spatula, push the cooked egg from the edges of the pan to the center, letting the uncooked eggs flow out to the edges. Allow the omelet to cook for a few more minutes. The center should be starting to firm up.
-
Step 8
Add the apples to the center of the omelet.
-
Step 9
Add the grated cheese to the center of the omelet.
-
Step 10
Using the non-stick spatula, carefully fold the omelet over. Keep it on the heat until the cheese melts. Slide it out of the pan onto a plate. Cut it in half, serve and enjoy.

on 10/13/2009 If you don't like cheese, you can make the omelet with the eggs and apples and green peppers. That would work as well. Thank you for stopping by.
