Get a Christmas Tree with a root ball so you can plant it after Christmas!!!!

It's almost time for the Christmas decorations to be coming out. Instead of getting new ornaments that are plastic, glass, or metal, let's make our ornaments this year from natural earth products!!!
Hang whittled twig ornaments, acorns strung, dried apple slices, or cinnamon stick ornaments.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Sea shells
  • Cork stoppers
  • Nylon thread
  • large needles
  • super glue
  • Red Hot peppers
  1. Step 1
    Natural Sea Shells

First, use sea shells strung on nylon thread, use them as garlands.
Also, hang shells on the tree for ornaments. This is so beautiful. And sea shells are the most beautiful natural resource on our earth. The natural colors are breathtaking!!!

  2. Step 2
    Cork stoppers

Next, you can buy cork stoppers by the bags full, cheap. String them on nylon thread and string them as garlands. Use these natural products to make your tree unique! You could use red string to thread them on and add knots in the thread so there are spaces between the corks. Use all small, or all different sizes.

  3. Step 3
String Red Hot Skinnies for Garlands!

Third, use red hot skinny peppers! For the color, string them on the nylon thread, Put knots in the thread to create spaces between the peppers so they will go farther. Then wrap the tree in them. String 5 or 6 together and make ornaments out of them! This is beautiful!

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have other natural earth resources that you like, string them or make them into ornaments. Enjoy yourself and see how many natural earth items you can make into ornaments that are beautiful. Also, use Cranberries and popcorn, the old standbys. You can always think of other items to use!!! Challenge your family to all come up with new ideas of natural items to use for ornaments! Make it family fun!
  • Wear gloves to string the hot peppers, and do not touch your skin or face.
  • Don't let kids string the pepper. Let them work on the other ornaments.
