How to Get Exalted with the Steamwheedle Cartel Goblins in World of Warcraft

The four Steamwheedle Cartel Goblin factions – Booty Bay, Everlook, Gadgetzan, and Ratchet – can be raised to exalted in World of Warcraft. This is worth the trouble only if you are collecting Exalted reputations for the achievements, or if you are trying to get the World of Warcraft title “The Insane”.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Travel to Booty Bay, set your Booty Bay reputation to “At War” by clicking on your portrait at the bottom of the display and then opening up the Reputation Tab to Booty Bay.

You will then kill Booty Bay Bruisers (Level 77) until you are Honored with the Bloodsail Buccaneers. Be sure you do this step first before you move on to the next step in the Steamwheedle Cartel reputation or you will not be eligible for The Insane title.

  2. Step 2

    Travel to the Barrens.

To get exalted with the Steamwheedle Cartel Goblins in World of Warcraft, you will want to travel first to the Barrens just south of Ratchet.

Here you will find camps of pirates on two levels of landscape. A high level mage using ice lance is probably the most efficient class, but in any case you’ll be killing thousands upon thousands of pirates as your work your way up to exalted with three of the four goblin reputations. These pirates are levels 12 – 14.

The only reputation you cannot bring to exalted by killing these pirates is Ratchet itself, which will top out in Honored at one point short of Revered.

  3. Step 3

    Travel to Gadgetzan.

To finish off your Ratchet pirate reputation, fly to Gadgetzan and travel to the pirate cove at the southeast section of the map.

These pirates are a little tougher at level 42+ but since you’ll likely be working on this rep after you’re level 80, they’re really no challenge.

There is often competition in this area from many players working on quests or reputation, which can be aggravating, so it might be worth working on this at off hours.
