Flu season can be one of the worst times of the year. Everyone is afraid to catch the flu. If you get the flu, here is a simple natural remedy to treat your flu symptoms: ginger tea.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Fresh Ginger Root
  • Lemon Juice
  • Honey, preferably organic pure raw honey
  • A Grater
  • A Small Strainer
  • Water
  • A Small Pot
  1. Step 1

Wash your hands. Then, wash the ginger, and peel it. Grate the ginger. You need about 3 teaspoons of grated ginger to 1 cup of water.

  2. Step 2

Then, boil the grated ginger in water in a small pot until the water turns a dark color. The more you boil the ginger, the stronger the tea, and the more effective it is. Make sure not to let the water dry out.

  3. Step 3

Once ready, pour the ginger tea into a cup using a small strainer to strain the grated ginger. Add about one teaspoon of lemon juice and about one teaspoon of honey. Your tea is ready, enjoy it. Drink as many cups as you want. The more ginger tea you drink, the better you will feel.

Tips & Warnings
  • Grate enough ginger for a least 4 cups of tea and refrigerate it. This will save you from having to grate ginger every time you want some ginger tea.
  • This is a good remedy for breastfeeding moms who have the flu because they are usually limited in the choice of medications they can take.
  • Drink plenty of other fluids, especially the ones that contain Vitamin C.
  • Wash your hands frequently.
  • Rest and avoid stress. This will help boost your immune system.
  • Start treating flu symptoms as soon as they appear.
  • Always consult a doctor if your symptoms do not improve or get worse.
