Google has been introducing additional tools to help users search more effectively, write content that is more easily discovered in a Google search and optimize ppc search engine marketing. This tutorial will explain how to use the Google Wonder Wheel Keyword Research Tool for better SEO on your website, blogs or articles on eHow, the Examiner, Squidoo, Bukisa, Info Barrel, Associated Content or other site.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Go to http://google.com.

  2. Step 2

    Enter your search term.

  3. Step 3

After the search results appear, go to the top left corner just below the google logo and click "show options."

  4. Step 4

The screen will reveal three columns of text. Scroll down he far left column and click "wonder wheel." The wonder wheel button is located in the section labeled "standard view."

  5. Step 5

The center column will now reveal a wonder wheel with related search terms. If you click on one of the related terms, a second wonder wheel will appear. Continue clicking terms to find targeted keywords with the best pay per click services to include on your website, blogs or articles on eHow, the Examiner, Squidoo, Bukisa, Info Barrel, Associated Content or other site.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be sure to examine the other tools Google offers for identifying better search terms. The "related searches" toggle just above the wonder wheel provides a wealth of information about how folks search on Google.
  • If you have not applied to the Examiner and want to do so, please use Liz Geltman of GeltDesigns (the DC Museum Examiner) as your referral. My Examiner referral ID code is 17742 .... and then write with questions about the application and writing process.
