How to Create an Alias Email

Creating an alias email allows you to send emails that cannot be traced back to you as long as you don't log in to your alias email account using your home computer. If your user information, email address name and IP address do not identify you, you have successfully created an alias email. With so many Web-hosted email companies to choose from, creating an alias email account is an easy way to remain anonymous.

  • Internet connection

    How to Create an Alias Email

  1. Step 1

    Visit an Internet cafe to use a public computer with an IP address that will not be traced back to you.

  2. Step 2

    Choose whether you want to use yahoo, gmail or another Web-hosted email service and type that company name into a search engine.

  3. Step 3

    Click on the "Option" button to register as a new user with the Web-hosted email service you have chosen.

  4. Step 4

    Fill out the user information with a fake name and fake physical address and telephone number.

  5. Step 5

    Write down all of your fake information so you will be able to remember it later and actually use your alias email address.

Tips & Warnings
  • Some Internet cafes allow you to pay with cash and do not require any form of ID.
  • Your IP address may be recorded if you ever log in to your alias email account on your home computer. If you created an alias email address to remain anonymous, you might not want to use your alias account on your home computer.
