Select the specific gemstone you wish to use as a focal piece for your jewelry project. Very small stones may be hard to wrap, depending on your dexterity. so choose a stone that is large enough for you to work with.

Once you get the hang of it, you can even make the hanging loop from the wire wrapping. (I ran out of jump rings once and found this out.) And they make great gifts, too. They will think you spent a lot, then be even happier that you made something especially for them.
