Clearing your Internet trail consists of completely deleting all files on your computer which document the websites you have visited on the Internet. This procedure is recommended when you are using shared computers, such as library or family computers. It reduces the possibility that another user will view private information that you may not want anyone to see, such as bank account information. Clearing your Internet trail is quick and easy to do and can be done directly from within your Internet browser.
