Instructions

    • 1

Ensure that the pie plate is thoroughly dry before using. Preheat your oven to the desired temperature.

    • 2

Grease the inside of the pie plate generously, using nonstick spray, butter, shortening or lard.

    • 3

Place your prepared pie crust in the plate and press to form it to the pie plate design.

    • 4

Tear or trim off excess crust. Crimp the edges of the crust if your pie recipe is a single crust pie.

    • 5

Bake your pie according to the recipe.

    • 6

Wash the pie plate using soap and water. If scrubbing is necessary, use a plastic scrubby. Steel wool or metal scrubbers can easily scratch the plate.

Tips & Warnings

  • Pyrex has been making glassware since 1915 and 80 percent of American homes have at least one Pyrex product. Currently manufactured Pyrex glassware is 100 percent recyclable. Allow the pie plate to cool before washing. Putting a hot plate under cooler water can cause cracks. Pyrex pie plates are both refrigerator and freezer safe, which makes storing or freezing an additional pie simple.
