How to Paint a Kid's Room in Ladybugs
Decorate a child's room by painting ladybugs as a wide border near the ceiling with a few randomly painted ladybugs on the walls. Although red ladybugs are the most recognized, the insect also appears as orange, pink, yellow and black. Many cultures believe the ladybug image is also a symbol of luck. Things You'll Need
- Large circle templates
- Masking tape
- Ladder
- Red acrylic paint
- Paper plate
- Small sponge
- Black marker
- Assorted paintbrushes
Instructions

Attach a circle template to the wall where ladybugs will be painted with masking tape to hold it. A ladder may be needed to reach areas where you want to paint ladybugs.

Pour red acrylic paint onto a paper plate.

Dip a small sponge into the red acrylic paint on the paper plate. Dab the paint into the circle template until exposed areas are covered.

Remove the circle template and secure it as before to another part of the room. Paint the exposed area with red acrylic paint as in Step 3. Continue with this process until you are satisfied with the design of ladybugs around the wall or walls. Let dry.

Use a black marker to add an outline around the first ladybug painted, four to six solid dots as desired and two antennae. Do this to all the ladybugs around the room.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure the areas to be painted are clean and dry. Add a few plush ladybugs around the room to extend the theme, as well as ladybug printed bed sheets and rug. Options for circle templates can include a plate or bowl. These are easy to hold in place; draw outlines with a pencil. Use a 1/2-inch to 1-inch wide paintbrush to fill in. For a more unusual look, add ladybugs of different colors around the room as well.
