MySpace is one of the most popular social networking websites and offers several customization options. There are also websites that help MySpace users personalize their profiles by offering free layouts, graphics and even generators. You can also create your own messaging buttons, adding an extra touch to your MySpace profile.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • MySpace message button generator
  • MySpace friend user ID
  1. Step 1

Go to a MySpace message button generator website, such as DazzleJunction at dazzlejunction.com.

  2. Step 2

Login to your MySpace account in a new window, click on "Profile" and then click on "My Profile" from within the drop down menu that appears to load your MySpace profile page.

  3. Step 3

Look at your MySpace Web address to find your friend ID. If you see a personalized url name, which you created, rather than numbers, click on "View More Pics," which should display your friend ID number at the end of its Web address.

  4. Step 4

Copy and paste your friend ID into the "Unique Friend ID" text box of the message button generator.

  5. Step 5

Select the text color, background color and border attributes of your message button, and then click "Generate Code" to generate the code for your button.

  6. Step 6

Copy and paste the provided code for your message button into the section of your MySpace profile under "Edit Profile" that you would like your button to appear.

Tips & Warnings
  • Generate a complete contact table with personalized buttons by using a contact table generator.
  • Beware of incorrectly copying and pasting your code, which will cause your message button to not display properly.
