The Palm Centro is a smartphone with camera and camcorder functionality. Pictures are stored on the phone until you connect your phone to a computer where you can sync the pictures with the desktop. Your pictures and videos are synced to your desktop computer every time you perform a HotSync. The pictures are in JPG format. You can open them on your Windows PC using the Palm Media desktop application.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Install the Palm Desktop software that came with your Centro. It is on the CD. Place the CD in the computer's disc drive and follow the prompts to install it. Connect your Centro to the computer using the sync cable.

  2. Step 2

Press the "Sync" button on the cable. It is right at the end, adjacent to the plug for the Centro. Look at the Centro's and the computer's screen; both will indicate with messages that syncing is taking place. Disconnect the sync cable when the Centro's screen indicates syncing has completed.

  3. Step 3

Press the "Applications" button on your Centro; choose "Pics & Videos." You can verify that your pictures are still on the Centro by looking in the albums.

  4. Step 4

On the computer, verify the pictures have been copied over by opening the Palm Media desktop application. Just open the Palm Desktop software and click "Media."
