Design your invitation layout using a graphics program. Open a blank page and set the dimensions to the size of your invitation. For example, if you are using one sheet of regular-sized paper that will be folded in half, the front of the invitation and the inside will each have an area of approximately 4 1/2 inches by 8 inches to leave blank space around the edges.

Drag pictures or clip art into your work area, placing the graphics where you want them. Use shiny, sparkly images to coincide with your glitz theme. Add text in a fancy font letting your guests know what they are invited to, when and where the party takes place and who to contact to RSVP or for questions.

Print the invitations on card stock. Fold the invitations according to your design.

Embellish the invitations with glitter or shiny decorations. Let any glue dry before placing the invitations into envelopes.

Choose card stock in the color of your choice. Fold the card according to your plan, whether it's in half or in quarters. For a shaped card, fold the card then draw or trace the design. Carefully cut away the excess paper.

Use a ruler and pencil to draw light, straight lines where you will write out information. Use dark, bold colors to write the occasion for the party, when and where the party will be along with contact information.

Draw any shapes, symbols or pictures on the card such as stars, tiaras, masks, nail polish, lipstick or any images that coordinate with the theme of your party. Use stencils or stickers if you prefer.

Color in the images with markers or use glitter and glue to add a glitzy affect.
