How to Pair With Sony Ericsson Headset
Bluetooth devices allow you to use your cell phone to make and receive calls while keeping your hands free for other tasks. This makes talking on your phone more convenient and accessible when you are busy. For a phone and a Bluetooth receiver to work together, the two must be paired. Pairing allows the two devices to recognize each other and work together. You should only need to pair the two devices once. Once they are paired, you can wear the receiver on your ear and answer calls made to your phone with the hands-free receiver.

Charge the Bluetooth headset. Plug the headset into the charger, and plug the charger into a power outlet. Allow the headset to charge fully before unplugging the device. To determine how to tell if your device is fully charged, consult the user guide. Once it is fully charged, unplug the headset from the charger.

Charge your Sony Ericsson phone. Plug the phone into the charger, and plug the charger into a power outlet. Allow the Sony Ericsson phone to charge completely before attempting to pair it with the Bluetooth headset. Once it is fully charged, unplug the phone from the charger.

Enable Bluetooth on your Sony Ericsson phone. Press the Menu button, and select settings. On many Sony Ericsson phones, this is the bottom right option on the menu. Under the Connectivity tab, select "Bluetooth". Select "Visibility". Select "Show Phone". Hit the "Back" button. Then select "Turn on".

Turn on your Bluetooth headset. Hold the button on the headset that is used to answer calls until you hear a beep. This will take about five seconds. Once this is complete, you should see flashing green and red lights on the headset.

Add the Bluetooth device to your Sony Ericsson phone's list of devices. Select "Menu", then "Settings". On the Connectivity tab, select "Bluetooth". Select "My Devices". Press "Add". Your phone will now search for, and locate, the Bluetooth headset.

When your phone has found the headset, you will be prompted to enter a password. Enter 0000 to finish pairing your phone with the Bluetooth device.
