• Black felt
• Safety pin

Instructions

1. Research to find the Halloween stores in your area. Stores tend to pop up around the first of October. Call or visit the Halloween-specific stores or visit online Halloween stores. These stores have a huge selection. Call ahead to ask whether they have cat tails that are sold separately or as part of a set.

2. Try nearby grocery stores, pharmacies and party supply stores if you don't find any Halloween-specific stores. Around October, they start to carry their own sections of Halloween supplies. Again, save time by calling ahead to ask whether they have cat tails that are sold separately or as part of a set.

3. Make your own cat tail if you can't find one. Stuff the black felt into your long stocking. Attach the stuffed stocking to the body of your costume, using a safety pin.
