How to Hook Up a DVD & VCR Cable to a Splitter
For televisions that are hooked up to cable or satellite, a splitter must be used to split the signal so that you can hook up a DVD player and a VCR. After you have the splitter hooked up, you will need to change the input on the television to video 1 for VCR and video 2 for the DVD. To view the television, you keep the input on TV. It will only take you a few minutes to hook up a DVD and VCR cable to a splitter.

Tips & Warnings
If your TV has a S-video input and the DVR has a S-video output, you will not need a splitter for the DVD player; you'll need only the S-video cable.
