Step 1
Turn on your iPhone. Find the green phone icon and start the phone app.

After the phone application starts, click on the favorites tab at the bottom of the screen (with the star icon).

From the favorites menu, click on the plus sign (+) in the top right corner. This will take you to a list of all your contacts. Click the contact that you want to add to your favorites list. If the contact has more than 1 phone number, a list of their numbers will be displayed. Select the number that you want to add from this list.

Alternative method - start the contacts application. In the list of contacts, select the one that you want to make a favorite. This will open a new screen with the contact's info. Scroll to the bottom of the Info page add click "add to favorites". If the contact has more than one number, you will be prompted to select the number you want to add.
