How to Teach and Help Your Early Teen Earn Money and Save

Your young teen driving you crazy about wanting to earn money?
But they are not at a legal age to work at a store! I know my young teen is!
Please read my article this will help them and you!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• notebook
• pen
• time

1. You and your teen should sit down with a notebook and pen.
   Write down all the stuff you and your teen thinks he/she can make money at.
   Make a list of all the names and phone numbers of family and friends.
   Let your teen call them to see if they have some kind of job for them to do.

2. First job idea, chores around the house! To get your teen to do them make it feel like a part time job.
   First in the notebook write down a list of stuff your teen can do around the house.
   Ideas, Dishes, Take Garbage out, Clean Bathroom, Cut the Grass.
   You can come up with your own list, you can have more or less.

3. Next to each job put a price they will earn for that job.
   Have them put in the notebook what they did on that day.
   Pay them Weekly, have them save there money in a bank in there room.
   We do this with our teen! She likes to write down in her book what she wants to save up for.

4. There are lots of other jobs your teen can do.
   They can Baby Sit, Clean Neighbors or Family's Yards, even set up a Yard Sale with there Parents, and they can sell stuff they don't want or stuff they made.
   If your teen is not quite at the legal working age, to get a job at a store then this is a great way to get them ready!

Tips & Warnings

• Have them save there money for something they want
• Have them buy 1 thing they need, that normally you would buy for them
• Have them make the phone calls
• If they baby sit have it be close to home or by a family or friends house
• Don't give in, make them work for there money and remind them it is there job
