Step 1
Be optimistic. It's important that you adapt a "glass is half full" attitude in order to carry you through your problems. It may take some work to change your attitude, but once you start thinking more positively more good things will happen and come your way. A University of San Francisco study concluded that resilient people who are positive and optimistic tend to deal and recover from loss better than pessimists.

Step 2
The next key to being resilient and bouncing back from crisis is spirituality. People who are spiritual and who attend church and religious services tend to be happier and better adjusted compared to non-believers. Believing in something helps human beings overcome stress and obstacles in life and the reason can also be attributed to having the support and love of a congregation.

Step 3
Run, laugh and play. Resilient people tend to enjoy life to the fullest. They are the young at heart and enjoy engaging in youthful things. If you can remain lighthearted and playful, you will be able to take a better grip on your stress.
