Have the child print/spell/read the word on index cards. This should be done everyday. Completeing this task on a daily basis will help the child to store the word in their memory. Also have the child use the word in a sentence for understanding. If they are unfamiliar with the word. Give them a sentence and then have them come up with one on their own using the sight word.

Read books that contain the word(s) you are working on. Have the child highlight the word(s) with a highlighter if the book is printed from the computer or you can use highlighting tape(can be purchased in stationary deptartment). This helps the child to reconize the word in context.
