If you suffer from razor bumps after shaving, this is the article for you! My instructions will explain some techniques and tricks to get rid of those pesky bumps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Shaving cream, new razor, lotion, and antiperspirant.
  1. Step 1

The first thing you need to do is soak the area to be shaved in very warm water. This will open the pores and allow the hair follicle to be exposed. After the area has been soaked in very warm water, you will need to apply shaving cream. Any kind will do, but I have the best luck with sensitive skin formulas.

  2. Step 2

Shave the area in the direction of hair growth with a new razor. (It is recommended to change your razor every 3 weeks) After the area is completely shaved, rinse and pat dry.

  3. Step 3

Immediately after drying, apply a mild lotion to the shaved area and then apply a solid antiperspirant to the area. If these steps are followed, the area should be bump free! (This works best on bikini area)

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you are not allergic to any of the products used by performing a skin test 48 hours in advance. This way you will know how your skin will react to the products used. As I said before, also use sensitive skin formulas free of extra dyes and fragrance. The more mild the product, the better the result.
