How to Choose Men's Sunglasses
Sunglasses not only give you a sense of style but also help protect your eyes while you're driving or out in the sun. It's important to find the right balance between style and utility. You want to protect your eyes from ultraviolet rays and excessive brightness, but you don't want unattractive big-block sunglasses. Look for features that fit your lifestyle while complementing your looks. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Browse sports stores, street vendors or just about anywhere else for a brand of sunglasses you like. Start comparing sunglass features once you have settled on a brand..
-
2
Look for glasses that provide 100 percent UVA and UVB protection. This feature will block harmful UV rays -- both A and B rays -- from penetrating your sunglasses and permanently damaging your eyes. This is especially important if you plan to be spending time outside with your sunglasses.

Be sure the sunglasses filter out blue light. Not only can blue light damage your retina (and increase vision loss), but the right sunglasses will also provide good protection from the glare and the brightness of the sun. Simply look outside at the sky through the lenses. The sky should appear grayish will these glasses on.

4
Find a lens color that suits your preference. Black or gray sunglasses don't change color perception very much, but colors such as blue or red might affect the colors you see. Green shades are also neutral and don't distort shades as much as other colors.
-
5
Decide how you'll be using the glasses most of the time and look for features that fit with that activity. For instance, you may need scratch-resistant, lightweight sunglasses if you'll be playing sports in them. Or you may want shatterproof or bendable glasses. But when deciding which pair of men's sunglasses to get, always remember that eye protection comes first.

6
Look at the shape of your face. If it's round, you may want to choose a style with a more angular shape to balance things out. If you have a square face, look for rounded lenses with frames that are not too wide.
