How to Reset a Projector Lamp for Infocus 210

Projectors keep track internally of the number of hours the lamp is used. When the lamp is replaced, it is important to reset the internal counter so it can begin an accurate hour count for the newly installed lamp, and in turn let the user know when it is time to replace it again.

Instructions

    • 1

Plug the projector into an electrical outlet. Remove the lens cap. Turn the projector on using the rocker switch next to the power cord.

    • 2

Allow the projector to initialize and power up. This may take a few minutes. The power LED light will stop blinking and light solid green when it is ready.

    • 3

Locate the two Brightness buttons on the top of the projector, to the left of the Menu button or below the Volume buttons if you are using the remote. Press both of the Brightness buttons simultaneously and hold for five seconds, then release. The lamp indicator light will now go out and the internal lamp counter will be reset.

Tips & Warnings

  • It is important to not reset the counter unless the lamp has been replaced. This makes it difficult for a different user to troubleshoot the projector at a later time. It would give a false reading on the lamp condition, when it is really past due for replacement.
