The Old Tiny Camper

Assess your needs for the Camper. In my situation, I am about to embark on a journey around the USA teaching and promoting my textured art. My trusty dog, Goldie as my companion.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • An old Camper
  • Just about any tool you could imagine.
  • Plenty of cleaning supplies, primer, paint, tile, and all new linens.
  1. Step 1

The Camper is only 13 ft long so I needed to clear out a bench to make more floor space for Goldie.

  2. Step 2

Ah, nice floor space. When it is time for her to nap I have a soft blanky to lay out for her. I am going to put jelly beans in the bubble gum machine.

  3. Step 3

By adding a fresh coat of light colored paint and bright colored accent linens the space has taken on a whole different feel. Happy space!

  4. Step 4
    The old bed and kitchen.

    The old bed and kitchen.

The old Camper had out dated colors and design. Not a place that I would want to spend months of my time.

  5. Step 5
    The new Kitchen

The counter tops have beautiful little tile. The white paint helps open up the space for a much larger feel. I decorate with stuff from my home for that familiar, cosy feeling.

  6. Step 6
    New bed.

    New bed.

The bed is very colorful and soft. I can't wait to spend the night in it. All cotton and chenille.

  7. Step 7
    Final exterior.

    Final exterior.

I did a little repair work on the roof and pressure washed it. Primed the whole camper and painted it with an exterior white. Built a picked fence around the tung and back luggage rack, too cute! It looks so much fresher, cleaner, newer.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't let it overwhelm you. Just keep plugging away until it looks good to you and then enjoy it.
  • Make sure the stuff you tear out isn't part of the actual frame.
