Do you hate when you dust a ceiling fan blade and dust goes everywhere? By simply using an old pillowcase, you can clean your blades and trap dust with no mess.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Old pillowcase
  1. Step 1

Find an old pillowcase you don't mind getting dirty. It helps if it's a queen or king size but any size will do the job.

  2. Step 2

With the ceiling fan turned off, start with one blade and put the blade in the pillowcase. Slowly drag the pillowcase with both hands on the side until it's off the blade. You'll notice the dust is trapped inside.

  3. Step 3

Repeat this step for the rest of the ceiling fan blades. You can use the same pillowcase on several ceiling fans.

  4. Step 4

Once you've dusted all the fan blades, simply turn the pillowcase inside out over a trash can and empty the dust into the trash. Place the pillowcase in a hamper to be cleaned.

Tips & Warnings
  • I would recommend a queen or king size pillowcase because they are longer and have more surface area.
  • Make sure to have the fan turned off before you try to clean it.
