When making a decision to stay at home with kids, moms make a big scarification. A lot of times quitting the job can make moms feel unsatisfied. They forfeit, not only their paychecks, but retirement savings as well. Economists say that the stay-at-home parent who relinquishes a career may lose about $1 million over the years (www.articles.msn.com-Cost of being a stay-at-home mom: $1 million) Here is what you can do to get some money back in to your account and still stay a full time mom.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Have a plan and set a goal of how much money you would like to make. Write down your skills and expertise so that you can start looking for contract jobs.

  2. Step 2

Decide if you would like to stay down the same career path as before. If you were a Human Resources Manager or Representative, then you might find it easy to start working for HR contracting companies from convenience of your own home. It is very flexible and the pay is usually good.

  3. Step 3

Consider watching another child during the week so that you still have the family time on weekends. You could also work part time at local gym's nursery, where you get paid while still spending time with your baby, and you usually get free gym membership.

  4. Step 4

Sell items on Ebay. This could be a lot of fun and could generate great income. Remember to set a budget.

  5. Step 5

If you have a teaching degree or relevant experience, think about tutoring. These contract jobs are usually very flexible in times and days, they pay well and still let you enjoy your family time. Some of them are on-line only tutoring positions, which is great for stay-at-home moms.

  6. Step 6

And finally consider working seasonal jobs. By working only a couple of days a week and few months out of the year you are opening up more job connections. This keeps your resume fresh and your experience rolling.
